Chester County Driver Receives $1.125 Million as a Result of Injuries Suffered  Accident in Delaware

Out-of-Court Settlement Negotiated by Saltz, Mongeluzzi, Barrett & Bendesky, PC

Todd Missitti, who required spinal fusion surgery after the pick-up truck he was driving was rear-ended by an un-insured motorist on March 8, 1999, has received $1.125 million as part of an out-of-court settlement with three insurance carriers, Robert N. Braker, Esq., of Saltz, Mongeluzzi, Barrett, and Bendesky, PC, announced today.

Braker said the insurance carriers -- including under-insured policy holders -- have each paid Missitti their policy limits, ranging from $25,000 to $1 million, and that he is hopeful that one remaining insurance company will do likewise to conclude the matter for an additional $50,000.

"Mr. Missitti was the innocent victim of a horrible accident that caused him and his family great suffering and has permanently change his life," said Braker.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Missitti was Ryan Cafferty, a Delaware resident. The accident occurred on Route 41 in Newport, New Castle County.
